AL4ME
Alabama for menstrual equity (AL4ME) is working to bring menstrual equity to Alabama. As a coalition of AL-based and -raised community-based organizations and activists, we work in collaboration with activists across the state and throughout the Southeast US to champion the needs of Southern communities.

Policy Goals
We will work to support Alabamians at the policy level by
1) creating tax exemptions for nonprofits purchasing menstrual products,
2) making it possible for individuals to purchase period products and diapers with government aid,
3) creating policy that mandates ingredient disclosure and
4) the provision of free products in ALL Alabama schools,
5) eradicating the tampon tax,
6) ensuring free products in ADOC facilities.
At the core of our policy aims, live the real experiences of Alabamians that we connect with in both our communities and through our direct service organizations.

2024 Campaign
In 2024, we're working to eradicate the Tampon Tax (Pink Tax), an extra tax on period products and diapers that deems them a "luxury" and not a necessity.
